Description:
A hit-and-run accident involves two families. When her husband succumbs to death, Nita files a criminal case, demanding that the driver be held responsible. Alfredo, a prominent businessman, is sent to jail after pleading guilty in place of his son Rafael. As per his father's instructions, Rafael makes amends to Nita, whose life improves due to their generosity, as the two families gradually meld together. Despite the communion, Rafael is imprisoned in his own burden of guilt, and finally confesses the truth to Nita. On the day of Alfredo's release, Nita prepares a feast – of unity, of forgiveness, and of freedom for the soul.

Multiple award-winning director, screenwriter and producer from the Philippines. Born in 1960 in San Fernando. He studied arts and advertising at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. His debut film "The Masseur" won the Golden Leopard Award at the 2005 Locarno festival and paved the way for the rise of alternative cinema in the Philippines. In 2005, he founded Center Stage Productions (CSP), an independent film production company. He is the first Filipino director to be honoured by France with the title of Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.

W 2005 roku założył Center Stage Productions (CSP), niezależną wytwórnię filmową. Jest pierwszym filipińskim reżyserem uhonorowanym przez Francję tytułem Kawalera Orderu Sztuki i Literatury.
