An Open Door is the uplifting story of how a small Asian nation was able to save more Jews than Oskar Schindler during World War II. This documentary will take you to the history of the Philippines that was rarely taught in school. I've learned in this documentary film that at one time here in our county before World War II, Manila has become the shelter of the German refugees that became victim of war in their country. This refugees has a lot of good words to say on Filipinos about their hospitality and fond of memories that until now they still remembered. POEA probes 3 agencies over placement fees

POEA Administrator Bernard Olalia identified the agencies as Golden ICON Manpower Agency and PLJL Manpower Exporter Inc., both based in Ermita, Manila. Their accredited foreign recruitment agency (FRA) in Poland, HR Motives, is also being investigated. “POEA has investigated the case, and once the complainants [submit] their affidavits to the POEA, we will start the process of [determining] recruitment violation,” Olalia told The Manila Times on Thursday. Swiety Mikolaj (St. Nicholas)

Swiety Mikolaj (St. Nicholas) The feast of St. Nicholas is December 6th. On this day, Sw. Mikolaj would visit the homes of people in the village, dressed in his bishop's robes. When Sw. Mikolaj visited the children, he gave them a gift for being good and to remind them of the gifts given to the Christ Child by the Three Kings. Celebrating the feast day of Sw. Mikolaj remains popular with Polish people living all over the world. Many of the Christmas customs celebrated today are a result of the early visits made by St. Nicholas. For example, the candy cane given during the Christmas holidays is a simple treat symbolizing the shepherd's staff, which is carried by a bishop. Sw. Mikolaj is called the "Father of Christmas", known to children in America as "Santa Claus". #pinoyworkersinpoland #pinoysinpoland

Shopping Sundays in 2020

The trade ban is the law forbidding trade on Sundays. The law was introduced by leading trade union Solidarity which wants employees to be able to rest and spend time with their families and enjoy cultural life. The goal of the trade ban in Poland was to forbid any transaction activities on Sundays. This however didn’t meet with the approval of all the members of the parliament. Hence, the law contains both some exceptions and it will be implemented gradually. Starting March 2018, shops operates only on the first and the last Sunday of the month. Since the beginning of 2019, we shop freely on the last Sunday of the month only. The last step will be in 2020 when shops will operate only on 7 Sundays in the year. Those seven days will include Sundays before Christmas and Easter as well as four additional days in January, April, June and August. Exceptions from the ban Trade ban does NOT include cinemas, restaurants, cafés, small local stores where the owner can work, stores at g
