Muti-Awarded Filipino Painter Rodney Yap Exhibits Art Works in Wrocław

The art exhibit of multi-awarded Filipino arist Rodney P. Yap themed “Primeval” opened last 20 August 2013 at 6:00 pm at the BWA Gallery of Contemporary Art in Wroclaw with Ambassador Patricia Ann V. Paez as guest of honor. The exhibit will run until 27 August 2013. The genre of Mr. Yap’s paintings has been described as contemporary Abstract-Surrealist Impressionism. The flyer in his exhibit states: “His art layering technique is multi-layered, with images underneath via calligraphic linear drawing automatism fused with intentional images. Rodney’s mental imagery conceived the entire concept prior to the execution of the pieces. In “Primeval,” Rodney explores a portal of choices presenting the symbiosis of thoughts connecting the past as what makes today and the future.” Rodney says on his art: ‘I see my works like a child’s story books... lots of surprises and innocence that is why the title “Primeval” is so apropos. The Homeless World Cup is a social organization with the goal of ending homelessness through the sport of football. The organization hopes that engaging homeless people in football will encourage them to change their own lives and develop solutions to worldwide homelessness.
