Financial Assistance for Qualified OFW in Poland

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR QUALIFIED OVERSEAS FILIPINOS IN POLAND DISPLACED DUE TO COVID19 Further to the Embassy’s Advisory on this subject, the Embassy wishes to inform Filipino overseas workers in Poland who have been displaced due to Covid-19 that the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has released the “G uidelines on the Provision of Financial Assistance for Displaced Land-based and Sea-based Filipino Workers Due to the Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) or DOLE- AKAP for OFWs ”. News Release Department of Labor and Employment April 8, 2020 DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 212 SERIES OF 2020 – PRESCRIBING GUIDELINES ON THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR DISPLACED LANDBASED AND SEABASED FILIPINO WORKERS DUE TO THE CORONA VIRUS (COVID-2019) “DOLE-AKAP for OFWs” OFWs displaced by COVID-19 to get P10k A one-time financial assistance of 10 thousand pesos will be given to landbased and seabased overseas Filipino workers whose employments were affected by the COVID-19 global pandemic. “The Department of Labor and Employment has already prepared the guidelines of the DOLE-AKAP assistance program for OFWs to ensure its effective and streamlined implementation,” Secretary Silvestre Bello III said. The Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announces that the government is extending the current restriction: up to 19 April for stores and other services that are closed Up to 26 April - - schools closed, sanitary border controls and international air connections Borders closed until 03 May Also from 16 April it is compulsory for all people to cover their mouth and nose (wear mask) while going out in public / working in a service store.
