Singaporean Film Ilo Ilo in the 7th Pięć Smaków (Five Flavours) Film Festival

Ilo Ilo  (2013) Directed by Anthony Chen The debut work of director Anthony Chen, the film features an international cast, including Singaporean actor Chen Tianwen, Malaysian actress Yeo Yann Yann and Filipino actress Angeli Bayani. Free public transport in Warsaw on European Car Free Day

On Sunday 22 September, all buses, trams, subways, and commuter trains in Warsaw were free of charge for all passengers. This is how Warsaw celebrated European Car Free Day for the eighth time. Following a decision of the Warsaw Council, travellers did not have to buy tickets to use public transportation or to get to underground platforms, because the gates were open at all stations. PH Embassy hosts Celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Philippines-Poland Diplomatic Relations

The Philippine Embassy in Warsaw hosted a reception to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Poland which were established on 22 September 1973. Undersecretary Winid cited the signing of the memorandum of understanding on defense cooperation, the completion of the delivery of eight helicopters purchased by the Philippines from Poland, the designation of three honorary consuls of Poland to the Philippines, and the formation of the Poland-Philippines Parliamentary Group as the hallmarks of the bilateral relations this year. In her remarks, Ambassador Patricia Ann V. Paez said that the Philippines and Poland are both Catholic nations and share the same values of love for democracy and freedom - the values that bind the two countries as friends, as allies, and as strategic partners.
