The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs would like to inform that on December 1, 2020 amendments came into effect regarding the requirements for the travel insurances that should be provided while lodging an application for a National visa. The travel insurance meets the new requirements, if it: Offers a coverage of medical expenses up to 30, 000 euros; Is valid throughout the entire period of stay in the territory of Poland; Covers all the expenses, that might be incurred during the stay of a foreigner on the given territory, which may arise as a result of return trip obligatory because of medical reasons, necessary emergency medical treatment, hospital treatment or death. The Insurer also has to: Undertake to pay compensation to the entity which has provided medical treatment to the insured person on the basis of the sent bills, Provide with a 24-hours’ emergency call center, which accepts the declarations of eventualities that undergo the insurer’s responsibility.
