Pinoys In Poland

Meron isang charity fund drive ang Pinoys in Poland na makatulong sa maliit na paraan para sa mga nasalanta ng bagyong Sendong.  Marami sa mga nasalanta ay nawalan ng kabuhayan at marami sa kanila ang namatayan ng anak or kamag-anak.  Ang malilikom na pera ay hindi gagamitin para sa relief goods, kundi itutulong yun para makapagsimula sila ulit.  Maaring bigyan sila ng alagain baboy or manok o kung anumang kabuhayan ang pwedeng maibigay sa kanila.   Magkakaroon ng isang raffle draw para sa kanila na gagawin sa Sunday brunch ng Radna sa darating na January 29.  Hinihingi ko ang inyong tulong na makalikom ng sapat para maipadala sa convent ng Franciscan Missionaries of Mary (FMM –congregation ni Sr. Yolanda).  Ang premyo ay 1 st :   Classic Vintage car ride from airport to anywhere in Warsaw (Rolls Royce) 2 nd :    Asus netbook 3 rd :    Samsung cellphone 4 th :  ...

The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (GOCC, Polish Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy, WOŚP) is one of the biggest, non-governmental, non-profit, charity organizations in Poland. The GOCC Foundation has American Heart Association Certification for providing courses in CPR and ECC, and use of high technology for medical lifesaving. Today, January 8 huge parties are thrown around the country (and at other places where Polish people live). These are organized by volunteers, except for the biggest event which takes place at the Pałac Kultury i Nauki  ( Palace of Culture and Science ) in  Warsaw , and is managed by the GOCC itself.
