Chasis in the 5th Five Flavors Film Festival

Five Flavours Film Festival brings variety of film flavours from South-East and East Asia for the fifth time. This year's edition takes a look at Taiwanese cinematography. Apart from new titles, the section Focus: Taiwan includes masterpieces by a renowned director Hou Hsiao-hsien, one of the movers and most important artists of the Taiwanese New Wave. Another section of the fifth edition is Taste of Korea presenting new films from South Korea. As in the previous years, Five Flavours also involves the section New Asian Cinema with the selection of the latest films from Singapore, Thailand, Philippines and other countries of the region.

Nora is a young woman, a wife of a truck driver. She lives in a parking lot with other homeless wives of other truck drivers. The women live in a constant wait for their husbands to return home. Chassis are indeed their only homes. Living in an extreme poverty, Nora is fighting to keep her child alive, knowing that only her animal instincts can save her little family. Although her desperate fight ends in tragedy. This dramatic life of Nora and the other homeless women is filmed all in black and white.
