PNoy urges OFWs to ignite patriotism, bayanihan spirit

As the nation marks its 115th Independence Day, President Benigno Aquino III called on overseas Filipino workers to "ignite the patriotism and bayanihan spirit" as they promote Philippine cultural heritage in their host countries.

In his Independence Day message, which was posted Tuesday night in the Philippine's Bangkok embassy website, Aquino reminded OFWs that they are the Philippines' modern-day heroes in this period of revitalization, and should play their part in moving the country towards equitable progress and lasting reform.
