Quizlet is another popular flashcard application, which gives you access to innumerable study sets created by users. The app allows you to memorise words in a traditional way or to test your knowledge - and challenge your friends - in quizzes, which are based on your study material. 6. Memrise
Although Memrise tends to be compared to Duolingo, both apps offer different learning approaches. Memrise focuses mostly on vocabulary and fixed expressions, presented in the form of wordlists with images (or memes) which help memorise all the items. The app is a great learning aid, employing a set of mnemonic techniques that not only foster the learning process, but also make retaining the new vocabulary much easier.

This app will make you feel like you went back in time – but in a good way. Clozemaster’s design resembles that of an old-school game and the app itself can get almost just as much addictive.
