ABOUT POLO-BERLIN
With 40 offices spread around the world, POLOs serve as the overseasoperating units of the Departmentof Labor and Employment (DOLE) in the implementation of Philippine labor policies and programs that facilitate employment and protect the rights and promote the welfare of Filipinos working abroad.
POLO Berlin opened in September 2019 headed by Labor Attaché Delmer Cruz. Its current jurisdiction include Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Russia, Czech Republic and Poland.
THEIR SERVICES
Verification of Employment Documents
POLO ensures that employment contracts of OFWs are compliant with the labor standards and laws of the Philippines and the host country
Processing and Issuance of Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC)
POLO processes and issues OECs to vacationing OFWs to the Philippines. An OEC is a requirement of OFWs prior to departing back to their job site.
On-Site Registration
POLO registers the employment contract of OFWs who transferred to another employer while abroad or whose deployment from the Philippines was not processed by POEA, in order to update their POEA and OWWA records.
OWWA Membership
POLO accepts and evaluates applications for OWWA membership including renewals
Labor and Welfare Services
Labor disputes, conciliation/mediation and advice, psycho-social counselling, capacity-building including skills training/enhancement, reintegration preparedness, repatriation assistance.
Special Programs
OWWA Financial Assistancefor COVID-19 infected OFWs, Food/care pack, OASIS/Repatriation Assistance
