Thousands of careers in Poland open to Pinoys — PASEI

Thousands of job opportunities in Poland have opened up to Filipinos willing to work in manufacturing, fish and meat processing, information technology, and heavy-duty truck driving, according to the Philippine Association of Service Exporters, Inc. (PASEI).

On Lei Alviz' report for "24 Oras" on Thursday, PASEI president Elsa Villa said that many of the jobs do not even require experience, as employers will provide training.

They need a lot of people, unskilled, that they will assign to manufacturing companies," she said.

Workers will also get the chance to apply for residency and even bring their families with them after working there for a few years.

Workers who have worked straight five years with one employer will be entitled to apply for residency. So 'pag sa residency, puwede mong madala ang pamilya mo doon," Villa said.

"Of course, ikaw ang magbabayad sa expenses ng pagdala ng pamilya mo doon, but especially for young families, I really really recommend this because libre doon ang education. Libre rin ang hospitalization," she added.

Villa also said that other countries in Central Europe, such as Croatia and the Czech Republic, as well as Eastern Europe, are "opening their doors for skilled and unskilled people."

Nevertheless, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) strongly advised all job-seekers to be wary of bogus recruiters and refer only to official job orders on their website for when planning to work abroad.

"Huwag po kayong makikipag-usap ng over the phone, makikipag-transact over the phone. Pinakamainam po [ay] pumunta kayo sa main or press office ng agency," POEA adminstrator Bernard Olalia said.

"If you plan to be deployed by our government through government placement, dito lang po kayo sa POEA makipag-usap," he added. — Margaret Claire Layug/BM, GMA News

Babala: Mag-ingat sa illegal recruiters to POLAND

DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM!
