Craftsman:

  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. Strong attention to detail is a must.
  • Abilities
  • Organization – Creating and keeping an organized workspace and shop.
  • Quality Control – Conducting inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality and/or performance. Make suggestions for changes as needed.
  • Critical Thinking – Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Materials Management – Keeping track of materials used and ordering in a timely fashion.
  • Active Listening – Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.
  • Judgment and Decision Making – Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Time Management – Managing and track your own time.





Helper:

  • will assist skilled craftsperson(s) by performing supportive duties as directed and will work under immediate supervision.
  • Must have a general knowledge of carpentry. Assist Carpenter/Carpenter Foreman with creating Woodem items.
  • Helper will look for opportunities for improvement in all tasks, means and methods regarding the work, and willing to learn from others.
  • Must learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work and learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment.





Responsibilities:

  • Assist Carpenter in laying out work
  • Assist Carpenter with lifting, positioning, securing, and cutting of materials during installation
  • Clean work areas, machines, and equipment
  • Ensure work area remains stocked with materials needed
  • Assist other craft workers as needed
