It has come to our attention that a Philippine Recruitment Agency whose name starts with letter R is allegedly claiming that it is the only agency allowed by POLO-Geneva to deploy workers to Poland. This is not true.
Allegedly, the agency told people it is duping that it spoke with POLO-Geneva and that I am due to issue a public apology to the agency for implicating it in scam operations.
Exmyuski? Excuse me!
Meanwhile, despite our warning that people should avoid agencies charging hefty placement fees, agency R is telling its victims that at least P300K is the norm.
This bloodsucking agency is lying!
Agency R, the truth is your partner in Poland called to ask about its accreditation by our office. They spoke to my staff Bing Aguilar. I was there when she told them that we received messages about your illegal operations and that to protect our workers, we will not accredit any application related to R agency. Every job order is an opportunity for you to scam to get rich illegally. We need to kill that opportunity.
Of course, this murderous rage does not apply to ethical recruiters. It is a selective rage and, for the moment, it applies to R agency.
We received tens of complaints against R Agency. We personally spoke to some victims. The internet is buzzing about its scams. However, POEA needs the Sworn Complaints of the workers before it can act on R’s legal standing. While R remains legal without the sworn complaints, my office exercises discretion to prevent further victimization. So yeah- you have your POEA license still, but it is just paper to us while the complaints to our office keep coming.
Do not ever use POLO-Geneva’s name to further scam people.
I just called POEA asking if I can be the complainant on the basis of the oral and written complaints I received, while we await the sworn statements of the victims. It should start official actions against the agency. You see, POEA needs sworn complaints. Not even that televised interview with Raffy Tulfo - where at least 4 victims of R agency made spontaneous narrations - is enough basis. But it takes awhile to get many of the victims working in far-flung provinces in Poland to go to the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw to make sworn statements.
Honestly, fighting illegal recruiters and educating the public about them are taking so much of our time. It can be heartbreaking when despite an endless stream of warnings by our office, concerned individuals like Pinoys InPoland, and the Pinoy Workers in Poland Group, people are still attracted to illegal recruiters, POEA-licensed recruiters doing illegal acts, and third-country recruiters. Some even protest against our warnings because we are supposedly nipping their opportunities. What opportunities? To be scammed? To be scammed further? To be swept aside like dead autumn leaves in your country of destination because the agencies’ promises are false? No land will ever become rich if the one zoning it is a scammer.
So, yeah, we will not tire ranting on FB
because it is our legal and moral obligation to keep people away from the clutches of vultures posturing as recruiters. And we will do everything legal to achieve this while the wheels of justice have not begun grinding because of the need for Sworn Statements.
By the way, POLO-Geneva scored well for our workers this January. Bing negotiated hard with 3 employers in Czech to insist on contract provisions for the protection of our workers. Two prospective workers of separate employers were already appealing to our office to just drop the provisions we wanted to see in the contracts for fear that the employers would withdraw the employment offer. We did not relent. Bing patiently explained why the provisions were absolutely necessary. In the end, we prevailed.
Good employers always see reason. Bad ones only see profit.
So, yeah...We have a very small team.
But it is a formidable team.
I repeat again once more for one more time:
Don’t me!
Don’t us!
