Lato 2013

My dear Compatriots,

It is a great honor for me to invite each and everyone of you to be a Tourism Ambassador of the Philippines. How? Please invite Poles whom you know – your friends, colleagues at work, priests, teachers, doctors, dentists, classmates, neighbors, relatives, or whoever you know – to visit our Philippine Booth at the LATO 2013 Trade Fair. (The Polish word “lato” means “summer.”)

The LATO 2013 Trade Fair will be held this Friday until Sunday, 19 to 21 April 2013 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday and Sunday, but until 6:00 pm on Saturday. Venue is the MT Polska Trade Fair and Congress Center at 56c Marsa St., Warsaw, Poland.

The LATO 2013 is one huge tourism market where a participating country or company could promote various tourism products such as tourist attractions, historical sites, diving destinations, beaches, spas, hotels, resorts, and many others.

The Philippines’ participation in LATO 2013 is a result of the combined efforts of “Team Philippines- Tourism” - a collaboration of the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw, the Philippine Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) led by Undersecretary Domingo Ramon “Chicoy” Enerio, together with TPB officials, namely, Ms. Susan del Mundo, Mr Ernie Teston, and Ms. Nedalin Miranda; and the DFA’s Office of the Undersecretary for International Economic Relations (OUIER) led by Undersecretary Laura del Rosario.

However, the success of the Philippines’ participation rests in each and everyone of you.

I enjoin all of you to visit the Philippine Booth to learn about the diverse tourist destinations within our country. And as what someone had said, “Let us not be strangers in our own country.”

I hope that we shall once again unite and work together towards making the Philippines one of the prime travel destinations for tourists from Poland and from the world over. Mabuhay Philippines!

At your service,
Patricia Ann V. Paez
Ambassador
