The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, around 70,000 displaced Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) due to the COVID-19 pandemic will receive cash assistance worth $200, or about P10,000. Changes in the Service Time for Office of Foreigners

Due to the need to prevent the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus, the Office for Foreigners, among others cancels reviews of administrative files and shortens the work of the Foreigners Service Center. All reviews of administrative files scheduled for March 12-31, 2020 are canceled. Each of the persons concerned by this information will be informed by email about the new date of the file review. Until the end of March, the Foreigners Service Center at ul. Taborowa 33 will be open from 10.00 to 14.00. From 21 February, telephone information on foreigners’ issues dealt with by the Office for Foreigners will only be available at +48 22 60 175 75. The number will be available on business days from 9:00 to 15:00. The new contact number of the Office for Foreigners will enable obtaining information on: list of foreigners whose stay in Poland is undesirable; legalisation of stay and obligations to return; international protection, asylum and documents for foreigners seeking protection; centres for foreigners, social assistance, medical care and assistance in voluntary return; complaints and requests. However, several other issues, including individual legal advice or information on the status of specific cases and proceedings conducted by voivodes, will not be dealt with by phone.

Termination of receiving visa applications from citizens of the Republic of the Philippines, in the e-consulate system at the Polish Embassy in Kuala Lumpur In connection with the planned opening of receiving visa applications at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Manila, we would like to inform you that as of March 5, 2020, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kuala Lumpur is terminating receiving visa applications from Filipino citizens intending to work in Poland on the basis of national visas and Schengen visas. The possibility of submitting an application for a national visa for the purpose of work in Poland from third-country nationals will only be possible after fulfilling the conditions of permanent residence in Malaysia as specified by the Malaysian immigration authorities.
