In an advisory effective today June 30, 2021, it was said that this change is a part of POEA continues effort to accelerate the process of issuing Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC)to returning Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW).
The new POPS-BaM system will include the overall functionality of the present Balik-Manggagawa (BM) system and will be transferred to the new system.
The previous BM online was deactivated since June 30.
POPS-BAM WILL COVER ALL BALIK-MANGGAGAWA AS BELOW:
Returning documented OFW
Undocumented workers, or workers not previously registered with the POEA and workers with no existing record of deployment with the POEA or POLO Workers who changed employment/employer, on site – including workers who transferred or entered into a new employment contract from employer to another.
GENERAL PROCEDURES
- Balik-Manggagawa with existing E-Registration accounts:
- Those who already hace an existing E-Registration System account shall only need to log-in on their accounts and update the same. Please follow the below steps:
- Login using your E-Registration account
- Go to “My Profile” and update your information
- After updating your information, you may now access your Balik-Manggagawa Module
- Balik-Manggagawa with NO existing E-Registration accounts:
- Those without an E-Registration system account shall need to create one. Please follow the below steps:
- Go to “onlineservices.poea.gov.ph”
- Go on E-Registration panel, click “Let’s Go!”
- Click Register
- On “terms of Use and Policy Statement”, click “Accept the Terms of Use”
- Read the “Paalala” section before filling out your registration
- Fill out the registration form. Then submit by clicking “register”
- Temporary password will be sent to submit email address
- Repeat steps 1 and 2. Then on login, enter you registered email address. Click “Next”. Enter you temporary password and click “Login”
- You will be asked to enter a new password. Enter and confirm your password
Upon login, go to “My Profile” and fill out your information. You may now access your “Balik-Manggagawa’ module.
Kindly be reminded of the following rules:
- One OFW, One e-Registration account only
- Make sure to provide correct/factual information and always check your details before submitting your personal information. Submitted information cannot be manually changed/edited, such as Name, Birthdate, Gender, Email address
- Request to correct any of the above mentioned critical personal information shall be done by filing an electronic ticket under POEA helpdesk available at onlineservices.poea.gov.ph
- Frequent commission of errors/mistake/misdeclarations involving any of the mentioned critical personal information may be construed as misrepresentation and shall subject the concerned BM Worker tolegal action
- You will not be allowed to acquire a new OEC unless it has expired/cancelled or have already been used for deployment, to resume employment overseas
- OECs have a 60-day validity and can only be used once (1) for the jobsite and employer indicated therein
- Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months
