As part of the Philippine government's crackdown on illegal drugs, a SWAT-led police unit launches an operation to arrest Abel, a major methamphetamine distributor. A violent battle breaks out in the slums of Manila between the police and Abel's gang. When the shootout is over and before investigators arrive at the crime scene, a police officer and his informant walk off with a backpack full of money and methamphetamine. This will soon set off a dangerous series of events in which both of them risk their reputations, families and lives. A spellbinding Philippine thriller, the film premiered at the San Sebastián film festival.

Multiple award-winning director, screenwriter and producer from the Philippines. Born in 1960 in San Fernando. He studied arts and advertising at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. His debut film "The Masseur" won the Golden Leopard Award at the 2005 Locarno festival and paved the way for the rise of alternative cinema in the Philippines. In 2005, he founded Center Stage Productions (CSP), an independent film production company. He is the first Filipino director to be honoured by France with the title of Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.

W ramach wypowiedzianej przez rząd Filipin wojny z handlarzami narkotyków, jednostka specjalna policji rozpoczyna operację obławy na Abla, głównego dystrybutora metamfetaminy. W slumsach Manili między policją a ludźmi Abla dochodzi do strzelaniny. Zanim na miejscu pojawią się śledczy jeden z policjantów i jego informator znikają z miejsca akcji z pieniędzmi i narkotykami. To początek wydarzeń, w których obaj ryzykują życie swoje i swoich rodzin. Trzymający w napięciu filipiński thriller. Film miał premierę na festiwalu w San Sebastián.

Wielokrotnie nagradzany reżyser, scenarzysta i producent z Filipin. Urodził się w 1960 roku w San Fernando. Studiował sztuki piękne i reklamę na Uniwersytecie Świętego Tomasza w Manili. Jego debiut reżyserski „Masahista” zdobył nagrodę Złotego Lamparta na festiwalu w Locarno w 2005 roku i utorował drogę do powstania kina alternatywnego na Filipinach. W 2005 roku założył Center Stage Productions (CSP), niezależną wytwórnię filmową. Jest pierwszym filipińskim reżyserem uhonorowanym przez Francję tytułem Kawalera Orderu Sztuki i Literatury.
