This book is great to re-read while learning Polish. The sentences are short and there are lots of useful words in the book


"Learn Polish Through Stories"will help you learn new vocabulary. It contains written stories about the adventures of foreigners in Poland.

The goal of this book is to familiarize you with real, live, everyday Polish. While the stories are fictional, they occur in real places throughout Poland that you may recognize. In the margins of the text you can find selected words and phrases translated into English.

Includes an MP3 with stories (at two speeds: slow and normal).

Read, listen, study, practice and have a good time with the characters in this book!

For those who would like to learn new Polish words in more funny way than going through typical handbooks and those who have already studied a bit of Polish and know at least basic vocabulary!

If you live in Wrocław, you can pick the book up in the center of Wrocław from one of the authors (they will give you the address and disscuss the time of the meeting via email).

If you don't live in Wrocław, but in Poland, the book will be sent by post (8,60 PLN/2 euro).

If you live abroad, the cost of shipping is 25,00 PLN/ 6 euro (by post office, any country in the world).

Flour types in Poland

Flour type, according to Polish food regulations, means the content of ashes in it (i.e. the remains after complete burning of the organic ingredients in a sample of the product at a determined temperature). Ii is expressed in gramms/100 kg of flour. For example: type 500 means that in every 100 kg of flour there's around 500 g of ashes, and type 850 means that in every 100 kg the content of ashes is around 850 g. Main types of wheat flours: Królowa Kuchni, type 390 It is ideal for sponge cakes and other gourmet baking. Mąka tortowa, typ 450 recommended for pasta, noodles, cakes, and other baking products.
