Work Permit

A work permit is a document that authorizes a foreigner to work legally in Poland.

A work permit is required both for taking up employment on the basis of an employment contract as well as civil law contracts

Temporary Residence 

Foreigners who are planning to stay in Poland for a period longer than 3 months may apply for a temporary residence permit in Poland. A temporary residence permit is granted for a maximum period of 3 years. However, the validity period of the permit may be shorter if a shorter stay is justified, pursuant to the grounds for application.

Long-Term EU and Permanent Residency

Poland provides for two forms of indefinite duration residence permits for foreigners:
  • Permanent residence permit (pobyt stały)
  • Long-term EU residence (długoterminego UE)

Polish citizenship may also be acquired:
  • by being granted Polish citizenship by the President of the Republic of Poland
  • by the restoration of Polish citizenship
  • by being acknowledged as a Polish citizen

Flour types in Poland

Flour type, according to Polish food regulations, means the content of ashes in it (i.e. the remains after complete burning of the organic ingredients in a sample of the product at a determined temperature). For example: type 500 means that in every 100 kg of flour there's around 500 g of ashes, and type 850 means that in every 100 kg the content of ashes is around 850 g.
